Basic Rules of POP Tennis

The rules of POP Tennis are almost identical to traditional tennis, but due to the smaller court, there are a few minor differences. Below you will find a thorough explanation of the rules of POP Tennis.

How to Play POP Tennis

POP Tennis play : When playing on a standalone classic 50 ft court OR the larger 60 ft court, either with blended lines, drop down lines or tape or a stand-alone 60 ft court, the rules are the same as tennis except you only get one underhand serve (described below in detail).

When playing POP doubles on a 60’ court, you have a choice of playing on a 60 ft x 21 ft court (these are typically the blended 10u lines on a standard tennis court OR a 60 ft x 27 ft court in which you will be using the singles lines/width of a standard sized Tennis court. The 21’ width is recommended for those who may need/prefer an easier version with less running. POP singles on the 60’ courts also is played using the 21’ width.
